About Olympic Performance Group:

Olympic Performance Group is a nonprofit organization formed with the purpose of increasing dance appreciation, education, and providing semi-professional productions for the local community in the form of stage productions, workshops and summer programs. Productions of dance along with other performing arts offers a multitude of options in performing, teaching, directing as well as employing other artists. Auditions will be open for the whole community in the appropriate performing arts: dancers (ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and ballroom dance), singers, gymnasts, and actors. Our hope is to attract and engage local talent, not only from Bainbridge Island, but from all the surrounding areas in our collaborative effort to provide professional productions.

After a scholarship to Whitworth Ballet in the 90's, Daniela danced with the Spokane Ballet Theatre, under one of Balanchine's students. She taught classes to underprivileged kids throughout her college years, and after a car accident that stopped her dancing for years, realized she would never take dancing for granted. Daniela is excited to join Bainbridge Ballet and looks forward to bringing the joy of dance to a new generation of little ones. In our Nutcracker 2009 production, Marisa is choreographing the Little Stars.
