Program Coordinator – Part Time

Olympic Performance Group (OPG) is a dynamic and growing Bainbridge-based nonprofit youth dance organization in its 12th year of bringing dance education and performance to Kitsap County audiences.

We are seeking a part-time person to coordinate the administrative aspects of the organization, the efforts of the artistic team, our volunteers, and our performers to help OPG produce and promote our signature Nutcracker as well as other productions and dance events throughout the year.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for general administrative tasks, communications within and outside the organization, planning and promoting events, guiding volunteers, and interacting with an active Board of Directors.  Hours will vary seasonally with the majority falling in the September – December time frame in preparation for our production of The Nutcracker.  Some months entail 10 hours of work while other months may require up to 75 hours of work. While there will be meetings and scheduled events the coordinator will need to attend, much of the work can be done on a flexible schedule.

Ideal applicants:

Independent self-starters who are organized, enjoy keeping projects on track, and interacting with a wide variety of people (young performers, choreographers, artists, parents, and audience members) will do well in this position. Excellent written and in-person communication skills are required, as is attention to detail and record keeping.

Compensation:  This is a contract position with an annual stipend of $5,000.
